The 1st ASP 2022 Tokyo
Letter of Appreciation
Dear colleagues and friends,
The 1st ASP 2022 Tokyo was successfully held on November 26-27, 2022. First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you.
While the pandemic of COVID-19 infection was not over, many friends from Japan, Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and Australia attended the 1st ASP 2022 Tokyo on site or online.
We had originally planned to hold the 1st ASP 2022 Tokyo at a convenient venue directly connected to Haneda International Airport, but due to the pandemic of COVID-19 infection, we had to change the venue. Nevertheless, at the best commercial district in Tokyo with fine weather, I hope that the on-site participants could enjoy sightseeing in Tokyo.
The day before the 1st ASP 2022 Tokyo, the welcome party was held by Dr. OZAWA Akira who is the president of the Asian Society for Psoriasis. It was a good opportunity to meet face-to-face and renew old friendships after a long time. In line of the concept of the ASP, "To Know Others and To Do Something Together",the theme of this The 1st ASP 2022 Tokyo was "Let's Think Psoriasis in Asia".
On the first day, a report from ASP, a session of medical insurance systems in Asian countries, a session of research, and three seminars were held.
On the second day, a session of epidemiology and four seminars were held. There were active discussions by psoriasis experts from Asia in all sessions. It was also my pleasure to see participants chatting during breaks or at the cocktail party on the first day.
Several future projects of ASP were decided at the Board of Directors meeting.
The epidemiological survey, which is conducted by the ASP members, will be reported by the secretary general as a part of the projects of ASP.
The next, "The 2nd ASP 2024 Seoul" will be held in Korea in 2024.
Finally, I wish ASP and its members continued growth and success.
